if you have a modded console and get too attached to your island but also want to make a new one you can make a backup of it with checkpoint.

You should be able to have as many saves as you want using Checkpoint. All you gotta do is create a new file (preferably name it so you can differentiate it) then you can switch between the two by choosing to load either file
